The Order of Malta Philippines now boasts a warehouse, an office and a chapel on land given by the Archdiocese of Manila for the Order of Malta’s use. As a result, the Order of Malta can now accept more donations from United States of America, Japan, and other countries, increasing the pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, distribution to the 132 beneficiaries, community centers and religious orders throughout the Philippines. The warehouse is also able to stock non-perishable essentials like flashlights, mats, and blankets, ready to be packed for immediate disaster response.
The Order of Malta will construct a tertiary clinic in the next two years that will include a complete laboratory for blood work, urine and stool analysis, x-rays and ultrasounds.
It will also feature a medical, ophthalmology, and dental clinic. Facilities for HIV/AIDS testing and counseling are also planned.
